10. Using your hands, pull the plug until it seats solidly into
position on shell mouth opening.
11. Install valve core. Using dry nitrogen, slowly pressurize
the bladder with sufficient pressure (approximately 5 PSIG) to
hold plug and
poppet assembly in place so both hands are free to continue with
assembly.
12. Install washer onto plug and poppet assembly and push it into
shell mouth to bottom it out on anti-extrusion ring.
13. Install “O” ring over plug and poppet assembly
and push it into shell mouth to bottom it out against washer.
DO NOT TWIST “O” RING. USE CAUTION!
14. Install spacer with the SMALLER DIAMETER of the shoulder TOWARD
THE SHELL (Photo I).
15. Install locknut on plug and poppet assembly and tighten securely.
This will “squeeze” the “O” ring into
place (Photo J).
16. Replace pipe plug into the plug and poppet assembly.

2. Remove the valve guard and dynaseal from the accumulator.
3. Use a valve core tool to release gas precharge pressure from
the accumulator bladder. Remove valve core.
4. Insure that hydraulic system cannot be
actuated while accumulator is being checked.
